Description
Engineering is all about creativity and ingenuity. Rather than just theories and their application, it revolves around simpler domains such as indigenous thinking, common sense and basic logic. And all that comes from the Supreme Intelligence, the ‘Pragyan’ in you. Technology, the other side of the coin, is nothing but the manifestation of the Pragyan in every individual, which has successfully served and enthralled mankind, since the invention of the wheel.
The organising team, at NIT, Trichy are staunch believers in the co-existential relationship between Man and Technology, which has led to the evolution of the human race, and with it, technology. It was the conviction to further this philosophy which resulted in the creation of Pragyan: NITT’s in-house annual science and technology festival, in 2005. The logo, signifying Man leaping over the Wheel of Technology, eternally advancing forward, is symbolic of Pragyan’s endeavor to inculcate the spirit of engineering and innovation among the youth. For over half a decade, Pragyan has worked tirelessly towards this goal, by churning out seven memorable editions, each of which has enlightened, emboldened and inspired an entire generation of engineers.
