ANNA UNIVERSITY MADURAI NEWS-Seminars / Workshops / FDPs organized :
1. A faculty development programme was conducted on 15-10-2010, for the benefit of
the faculty members in the title “Effective Teaching and Research
Methodologies”.
2. One day workshop on “Employment Opportunities for Engineers” has been
successfully organized to empower the students was held on 22-10-2010 in
association with Board of Apprenticeship and Training (Southern Region).
3. The Anna University Madurai also had its representation at the recently held Indo-Global Education
Summit which had participation from over 150 foreign Universities.
4. An international seminar on “Sustainable Environmental Awareness through
Educational Media” has been organized in association with NITTTR on 26 th
November 2010, and over 80 participants attended the seminar including 40
overseas participants.
5. A one day seminar on “Recent Trends in Nano Technology and Wireless
Communications” was organized on 22-12-2010, focusing the recent advances in
these rapidly developing areas. This seminar had elaborate presentations from
leading experts in these fields including an expert from Japan.
6. A one day workshop on “Research Methodologies: Objectives and
Approaches”, was conducted on 29-12-2010 for the faculties working in the
University Main Campus and Constituent Colleges.
7. A one day workshop on “Research Methodologies: Objectives and
Approaches”, was conducted on 30-12-2010 for the faculties working in the
colleges affiliated to Anna University of Technology Madurai.
8. A ten days faculty development programme on “Entrepreneurship Development”
was organized between 3rd January 2011 and 14 th
January 2011 in association with the CED (Tamil Nadu) with over 40 participants from various affiliated institutions.
9. A one day University sponsored workshop on “Industrial Control Electronics”,
was held on February 4th and 5 th 2011, at PSNA College of Engineering and
Technology.10.A one day University sponsored workshop on “Recent Trends in Formal
Languages & Automata Theory”, was held on 11.02.2011, at ULTRA college of
Engg. & Technology for Women.
