The primary aim of Cauvery College Of Engineering and Technology is to lay more emphasis not only to develop the technical skills of the students, but also to nurture a professional competency, self-confidence, managerial abilities and entrepreneurial development in them. Cauvery College was started with 40 students and at present our students strength is around 3750. This is one of the biggest colleges for Women in Trichy
The College offers 14 UG courses, 9 PG courses, 1 PG Diploma in Computer Applications and 4 Research Departments (Ph.D.,(Commerce), M.Phil., in Commerce, Social Work and Computer Science). We have a dedicated band of 173 members of teaching, 7 Guest Lecturers and 82 non-teaching members.Our staff members have been appointed as members of various boards of studies and render consultancy services to various Universities, NGO and Government organizations.

Facities in Cauvery College :Language Lab
With the objective of polishing and perfecting the spoken and written
language skills of the students through the Audio-visual aid, a Language Lab was establishes in the college through the financial aid from UGC.
The infrastructure of the lab is extended to all students on rotation basis with the Internet and the Library. Teaching is supplemented by the use of various Audio-visual aids.
The Air-conditioned Lab Facility consists of a skill phone console cabinet, wireless headphones for the students and the teacher, 14 inches color monitor and LCD projector and a screen.
Facities in Cauvery College :Hostel
The hostel of Cauvery College is housed in three buildings and named as ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘P.G’ Blocks comprising 240 rooms out of which 219 are marked for students.The rooms have adequate furnishings and are provided with mosquito netting and fans. Each floor of the hostel has a water purifier in all the buildings. Presently there are 1250 college students and 47 school students who are studying in Cauvery Matriculation School which is a sister institution of Cauvery college.
Faculty members staying in the College hostel are provided with additional attached bathrooms and a separate diningroom.Telephone and intercom facilities have been provided for all the blocks. Telephone card system is an added dimension to the otherwise well equipped hostel system. For this, separate telephone connections and telephones have been installed in each block.
Sodium vapour lamps illuminate the entire campus from 6 p.m to 6 a.m,everyday. Power cuts have never been a problem for our students since 83 kv generator has been installed exclusively for the hostel. Separate washing area is provided near each block. Adequate lines are provided in all the blocks for hanging clothes.
