Career in fashion designing is one of the most glamorous professions today. Fashion designing as a career involves creative design and drawing, pattern making, sewing and embroidery, garment-manufacturing technology, apparel construction, fabric dyeing and printing and computer-aided design.
Mostly the people(parents) in our city hate fashion,but it's a great passion.Many are not aware of the fashion colleges in the our state and there is a famous fashion institute in our city too.
Mayura School of Fashion Technology
It offers many utility one-year diploma courses in fashion designing technology, thread design technology, painting etc. The school provides training in cutting and tailoring, embroidery , besides knitting, tatting, crochet painting, and pot work.
COURSES OFFERED
EMBROIDERY
Embroidery free style embroidery, machine embroidery, counted thread embroidery, power machine embroidery. Embroidery lessons includes mirror work, chamki work, beads work, metallic chord stitching, decorating handbags and leather bags.
POT DECORATION
Pot decoration is the method of making the ordinary pot look elegant, beautiful and attractive by applying ready made paints and beads.
EMBOSSING
Embossing is very interesting but requires great concentration. The embossing is taken up on 30mm aluminum sheets and tool required are very simple. The subject chosen is first drawn on the aluminum sheet and then the tools are used to bring out the necessary twists and turns on the foil, to give it a life like appearance. After the work is completed the required paint is used for giving color to the figure.
ENGRAVING
Engraving also is done on aluminum sheets. The aluminum sheet is first encompassed in a wooden frame, and then the figure is engraved.
FABRIC PAINTING
Fabric painting is a very popular art.. Another area which, of late has been attracting the attention of women is nib painting. The round or straight nib is painted on felt materials, and the same piece could be used for decorating the houses.
ADMISSION:
Oh,It's only for Boys(sorry girls) and only Bachelors degree is available.The course fee will be costing around 2 lakh.It's among the top fashion colleges in the nation.
